Our sightings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The month of April was also a month in which our resident dolphins, the Bottlenose and the Common dolphin, accompanied us in all our trips to the sea. They interacted with the boat, they did jumps, we managed to hear their whispers (their way to communicate between them) and it was also possible to see them mating!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also the Sperm whale visited us four times, allowing us to see a female with her calve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, for the first time this year, we saw Sei whales and Common whales. This migratory species, that normally go through Azores in spring\/summer in direction to their feeding regions, that are located at higher latitudes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the Humpback whale continued to surprise us, we manage to clearly see all their body, since the head, characterized by a large number of lumps, to their wonderful tail. Also the Blue whale has given us the opportunity to see it in their two visits during this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To end up nicely, we also had the chance to see a Common turtle accompanied with small fishes in one of our trips. And an amazing visit for the first time this year from False killer whales in the morning and Killer whales in the afternoon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
